ABOUT
 
To address the severe impact COVID has had on our community, globalFEST has launched the  Assist Fund – an emergency fund open to artists and industry professionals. 
 
Made possible by a generous grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
 
Funds will be distributed as grants of $500
 
We know the need is great, and so we are fundraising as part of our support drive to raise even more to support for this direct giving initiative. You can donate to the Assist Fund today:
 
Application Details
 
Who can apply:
  • Open to gF artists who have participated in annual January Festival
  • Participant of APAP, WOMEX, ISPA, NA Presenters, CIPA
  • Agents or managers who have represented gF artists
  • gF Awardees
  • Arts professionals who have worked with 1 or more gF artists including technicians, road managers
Before applying, please know that Recipients must:
  • demonstrate at least 2 of the following: loss of income, lack of funds to make art, home insecurity, food insecurity, difficulty meeting basic living costs and/or medical expenses.
  • be willing to provide feedback after receiving funds.
  • be either based in USA or a US citizen or green card holder, DACA/dreamer.
  • have employer tax ID number or social security number to receive funds.

Important Program Dates
  • Applications Accepted: January 30 - March 1, 2021

  • Application Deadline: March 1, 2021 (midnight EST)

  • Applicants will be notified with the results of their application by mid-April 2021.
